Family History
We
are both part of a great family. Jennie was born and raised in
Sweden. All of her family still lives in the south-eastern part of
the country. Jerry was born and raised in Michigan. Most of Jerry's
family still lives in Michigan, but some family members have moved to
places like Texas and Florida.
Jennie's Family
Jennie's parents, Olle and Yvonne, live in in a small village called
Gårdveda, Sweden, which is located about 4 hours south of
Stockholm. The population of the village is only about 100 people, but
they have all the amenities of a big city.
Hultsfred, located about 20 minutes from Jennie's parents' house,
is home to the biggest
summer rock festival in Sweden.
Jennie grew up with her older brother, Per, who now lives in Mörlunda
with his wife, Maria. Jennie's grandparents Inez and Ingmar
(mormor and morfar) still live in
Blankaholm.
Jennie has several aunts and uncles living in towns across the Swedish
country side. Leif & Annette and Reino & Annette are two of her
favorite aunt-and-uncle combinations. Jennie also has several
cousins; Charlotta, Carolina, Maria, Sylvia and others.
Jerry's Family
Jerry's mom, Barb, lives in Houston, Texas. Jerry's dad, Gerald,
lives in Holland, Michigan. Jerry grew up in a town called
Mason, Michigan. He lived there with his mother and younger sister
until he moved to Ann Arbor in September of 1993. Jerry lived in Ann
Arbor until May of 1998 when he graduated from
the University of Michigan's school of engineering. Jerry's sister, Kristin, is
now a graduate of the University of
Texas and she's currently studying for a graduate degree at the University of Michigan.
Jerry has quite an extended family. His brother Andy lives and works
in Grand Rapids. His brother John and wife Nancy live in Kalamazoo
with sons Ian and Gerald. His sister Missy and husband Jeff live in
Augusta with son Josh and daughter Elsa.
Jerry also has several aunts and uncles--Kathy & Marvin, Mary &
Chuck, John, and Georgia are some of his favorites. Jerry's cousins
are also scattered around the country. John, Bill, Mike, and Lanna are
all living exciting lives.
