Day Trip to Copenhagen

In June, 2007 we stayed in Copenhagen for a night before flying back to the U.S. after our trip to Sweden.

Travel to Copenhagen was accomplished via the train from Malmö's Central Station.  Jennie's brother Per and his wife Maria drove us to Malmö and helped us get on the train.  When we arrived in Copenhagen, we walked a few blocks to the hotel, but we struggled a bit with all the luggage.

We took a boat tour of the canals in Copenhagen, which gave us an opportunity to see several landmarks including the little mermaid, the opera house and Nyhavn.  We stayed at the Comfort Inn Hotel Excelsior, which was quite clean and comfortable.  The hotel did not have air conditioning though, so we had to leave the windows open to stay cool.  This proved to be a bit frustrating because the hotel was located on a busier street that included two topless bars!  We got as much sleep as we could, but we think it's last time we stay there with little Amelia.

The following morning we took the train back to Kastrup and checked in for our flight back to the United States.
